Sorenson Squeeze 6—8
I have to say I was stoked to take on a redesign of Squeeze. The idea was two fold. First, Preserve workflows for existing customers. Our user testing and competitive analysis indicated the workflow was good. Second, make Squeeze more accessable to a pro-sumer (not just professional) audience through design and interface. So we used the "Preset" paradigm. Presets were previously encoding recipies for video and audio. We added notifications and publishing destinations as elements available inside presets, to save users the trouble of having to drag multiple times to the batch window. Watch folders were another key enhancement. Squeeze has won Streaming Media Reader's choice awards 3 years running since the redesign.
